Lost Skier Rescued around Eldora Backcountry

A 21-year-old woman skied out the backcountry access gate at the top of Eldora's Coronoa lift into the Lost Lake area and became lost Monday. Mary Elizabeth Loecher called Eldora when she realized she didn't know her way back to the resort. After the call, the Eldora ski patrol, the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Nederland Fire Protection District, Front Range Rescue Dogs and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded.

As always, when you enter the Colorado Backcountry, you should always have a
Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue (CORSAR) Card, which will pay for these people to come and rescue you: $3.00 per year, $12.00 for 5, and is part of any Colorado Fishing License.
