There are two different routes available to reach these ski areas, either from the Fern lake Trail or the Bear Lake Trailhead. If you are going to ski the Fern Lake area, it is best to use the Fern Lake Trailhead. The Bear Lake Trailhead can be used for Fern Lake and the Banana Bowls, but also can be used to get to the Tyndall Gorge and Emerald Lake area.
