Thought I'd start you out with an enticing view of the tenth mountain hut as viewed before I started skiing down another powder run. One of my favorite parts about the huts is the skiing that is available around them. On every hut trip I have been on, there is good, safe skiing available with a very short hike to get to. Personally, I love the feeling of hiking without the backpack on, especially if you just lugged 50-60 pounds up the day before!
The peacefulness of the hike, chatting with your friends are things that make the hut trip memorable. Skiing down is the icing on the cake.
The hike from the trailhead to the hut is pretty basic and well traveled. Below you will find the elevation model for the hike to the hut:
